About Us
Are you creative? Are you crafty? Are you just interested in having some fun and making art? Then come and enjoy the North Tama Art Club!! Grades 7-12 are welcome to join. We participate in many community and school events such as helping to put on the North Tama Fine Arts Festival, in March, trips to art museums in the area, face painting at local gatherings and doing our best to enrich the community with our creative talents and energy! Meetings are hosted throughout the month, you are welcome to come create fun projects with us whether it is your first meeting or your 100th! See you there!

Who it is for:
All 7th- 12th Grade Students
What we do:
We meet monthly to complete art workshops. (String Art, Potter's Wheel, Drawing contests, Paint Along, Pumpkin Painting, Christmas Tree Lamps, Santa House Remodel)
We complete community based art enrichment activities.
We plan multiple field trips including: Des Moines Art Museum, Des Moines Ren Faire and Cedar Rapids Art Museum.

What it is: a month-long drawing contest all 7-12 can enter!
How it works: Each day you will be given a word prompt. You will create a drawing that goes along with the word in some way using pencil, pen, or marker. Black and white/grayscale images ONLY.
Who can do it: Anyone 7-12! Pick up drawing supplies during WIN time if needed and complete your prompt. Then turn them into the "black box" by the art room. Rules: *One prompt per drawing. *Label each drawing: Name,(1st, Last) Grade, Prompt #. *Art club will select the TOP TEN PROMPTs from our school. Students 7-12 will then vote for your favorites on a Google form Oct. 31st. Winners Receive: A Halloween prize basket!
